Only products that contain polysorbate 80 (E433) can achieve this high bioavailability. Polysorbat 80 (E433) is used for the production of micellar curcuma. Among others, polysorbate 80 negatively influenced the mitochondria and the cell respiration in animal experiments. For this reason, Biotikon products are guaranteed not to include polysorbate 80. Frequently, curcuma products available on the market are contaminated.
Curcumin, the most important ingredient of curcuma, is very valuable, but now it also can be produced synthetically. Often some percentage of natural curcumin is mixed with a considerable amount of artificially produced curcumin, so as to disguise the non-natural origin of the synthetic materials. Synthetically manufactured curcumin is considerably cheaper.
The only method to determine the naturalness of a curcuma product is the so-called isotope measurement. This is an elaborate, expensive analytical method that only a few institutes carry out. By measuring C14 carbon atoms in the material, one can determine whether components of petroleum are present: synthetic curcumin is produced from petroleum, and can be told from non-natural curcumin by this method.

Curcuma Piperin forte by Dr. Alexander Michalzik M.D. is characterized by its exceptionally high curcuminoid content. Each capsule contains 527.25 mg of natural curcuminoids. This corresponds to 16,500 mg of ordinary curcuma powder. The important Piperine (95 % extract of black pepper), has been doubled and thus 10 mg Piperine per capsule is extraordinarily high.

Curcuma with 95% curcuminoids contains about 30 - 40 times more curcumin than simple curcuma powder, simple curcuma powder contains approximately between 1 and 3% curcumin. The curcumin content of Biotikon’s 90 capsules then corresponds to the curcumin content of about 2,700 capsules (30 times 90) of a non-concentrated product. This is also the reason why these products are offered with a supposedly lower price.

Curcuma Piperine forte - Turmeric-Extract by Dr. Michalzik is subject to strict examinations of German supervisory authorities. It is manufactured by use of gentle production technologies without heat or additives in the capsule filling and without the use of processing agents which are not required to be mentioned on the packaging.
No industrially produced silicic acid (silicon dioxide) flow aid.
Biotikon does not use silicon dioxide or silicic acid (SiO2, known as E551) as a flow aid. The foundation for product testing "Stiftung Warentest" states that those may contain nanoparticles. Silicic acid or silicon dioxide in dietary supplements has been discouraged. Bio Suisse has terminated approval of silica or silicon dioxide. Silica from horsetail is not to be confused with this industrially produced silica.
No Aluminum Contained
A large number of nutritional supplement providers use aluminum as a sealant for cans. During the sealing process an aluminum foil is strongly heated by a high frequency electromagnetic field. We deliberately do not use this method!
Without talcum!
The release agent and lubricant talcum which is used for manufacturing of tablets or capsules can contain asbestos fibers. Biotikon completely dispenses with the use of release agents and lubricants in their capsule production.

The bioavailability of curcumin is enhanced very strongly by using Piper nigrum extract (piperine 95 %). With an improved bioavailability of 2000 % 555 mg mg of curcuma extract equals 11.100 of curcuma extract per capsule, this amount is needed to gain the same quantity of bioavailability.
